From self-coaching to life-hacking, even the path to enlightenment is now branded, packaged, sold.

A reflection on the commodification of the spirit in an age of spiritual consumerism.

In this work, I engage with the aesthetic of Japan’s Edo period — an era of refined beauty, theatrical performances, and the pursuit of the fleeting.

The others around him . Perhaps they had no choice — or never looked for one. But he does, and he gives it up.

 even when protection is within reach. Ultimately, it’s about the power of choice, when you choose not to use it to rise above others.
