Art that Defies, Provokes, and Awakens

My work is not simply about Japanese figures, pirates, football supporters, or balaclava-wearing characters. These are the protagonists of my visual language. The real subject is identity.

The figures in my paintings hide their faces, wear masks, assume different roles, and move between cultures and histories. They become pirates, geishas, Kabuki actors, or football supporters, using familiar symbols to explore the complexity of contemporary identity.

Through these shifting personas, I examine how we are shaped by culture, collective belonging, tradition, digital life, and the social environments we inhabit. Each character reflects the tension between individuality and conformity, inviting viewers to question what lies beneath the identities we choose—or inherit.

Three themes connect nearly all of my work:

Identity – Who are we beneath the roles we perform and the masks we wear?

Culture – The intersection of Japanese aesthetics, Western pop culture, street art, and football supporter culture, creating unexpected visual dialogues.

Modern Society – A reflection on the contradictions of contemporary life, offering social commentary without prescribing answers.

Rather than providing conclusions, my paintings invite viewers to interpret, question, and discover their own meaning within each narrative.
